  • kotakintai:

    @delacerdaa
How much would who give you?? If you sell in a classified you might get a couple hundred depending if its High Efficiency and condition it’s in.

I bought a new 60 gallon GE gas water tank.

How much would they give me for the old one?

  • kotakintai:

A lot of time when you have a Hot Water tank and you run out of hot water prematurely the problem is that the dip stick that flows the cold water to the bottom of the tank to make the hot water flow out the top to your tap, deteriorates and allows cold water to dump into the middle of the tank or where ever. So what happens is if you hav a 50 gallon tank and cold water is flowing at mid height of tank you will get around 20 gallons of water before it starts becoming cool till eventually cold.

@delacerdaa : if you dont get your awnser in here try: (yahoo awnser) and ask same question.

  • delacerdaa:

what do you mean go tankless?

  • delacerdaa:

hey how come i dont get enough hot water to shower? the hot runs out before i could finish showering.

  • rabbitslayer:

In addition to the violations mentioned above, notice the illegal coupling just upstream of the gas shut off? that is a thread protector, not an approved coup.

once more it is useless to “remove sediment” because any scale will stick to the internal walls, and you will only get a few little crumbs, they are not like commercial tanks that actually build up a layer of “sand”. Go tankless!

  • cliffhuggins:

i see a couple code violations , single wall vent pipe, greese packed gasvalve, no support on gas line , no drip pan , no sediment trap on gas valve, it has a gate valve which are pieces of trash and no u dont have to drain the whole thing just about 5 gallons until the water clears up

  • 604carpenter:

Do you really need to drain the whole tank, I’ve heard draining a couple of gallons is good enough?

  • itscool1968:

you can use any drain floor or sink if its on the same level as the tank.
i use a teel pump to pump those kind of tanks out then flush it with cold water.

  • chimichanga31:

So you know you need a hose to drain the water outside or to a floor drain. Yet you don’t have one. Whatever to run up the hourly rate on the customer eh buddy?
